G. M. Siddeshwara
Gowdara Mallikarjunappa Siddeshwara (born 1952), popularly known as G. M. Siddeshwara, is the incumbent Union Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises and former Minister of State for Civil Aviation of India.〔(Profile - NDTV )〕 He is the member of the 16th Lok Sabha, representing Davangere constituency of Karnataka. An Agriculturist, Businessman by profession and being a prominent politician of the Bharatiya Janata Party, he also represented the Davangere Constituency in 14th and 15th Lok Sabha .
Well Acknowledged for his performance as a parliamentarian, G. M. Siddeshwara has been rated as one of the best MPs in the 15th Lok Sabha by various independent organizations based on his performance both in the Parliament as well as his efficiency in the constituency. He has been rated as the second best MP from Karnataka by the ''Rezorce Parliamentary Productivity Framework rating'' based on various parameters like his excellent utilization of MPLAD funds for the constituency, parliamentary performance including attendance, number of questions asked, participation in debates, etc. He has also been rated the 14th best MP in the country by the rating and analysis firm ''PRS India'' based on the same parameters.
==Personal life==
His father Late Shri G. Mallikarjunappa was also an M.P. for two terms: 1996-1998 and 1999-2003. Shri G. Mallikarjunappa was affiliated to the RSS before joining the BJP electoral politics.
